CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON GREENVILLE JUNCTION SHOPPING CENTER

GREENVILLE – Construction began this week on Greenville Junction, a new 15,000 sq. ft. strip shopping center in the Town of Greenville.  The center will be anchored by Morton Pharmacy, a locally owned pharmacy with 11 locations throughout the Fox Valley.

Greenville Junction is being constructed on the NE corner of Highway 15 and Lily of the Valley Dr.  The shopping center is being developed by Greenville Group LLC which is managed by Meerdink & Associates, Inc., a local commercial real estate firm.

In addition to Morton, center tenants will include Foxes Den Pizza and Hong Kong Buffet.  Negotiations are underway with several other prospective tenants.  The new center is scheduled to open in August.

“Greenville is the Fox Cities fastest growing residential area,” said Russell Meerdink, president of the Meerdink firm.  “Greenville is growing at a rate of about 3.8% per year.  Construction on another new home in Greenville begins about every-other business day.  The town has the highest median household income ($61,381) in the Valley and highest percentage of kids (32.5%) under 18 years old anywhere in the area.”

“Retail development has not kept up with the exploding population of young, affluent families in this market,” continued Meerdink.  “Greenville Junction will serve a growing need for retail goods and services.”

The shopping center is being constructed by Consolidated Construction, Inc of Appleton.  The contractor’s construction coordinator is Pam Talavera.
